William Buhidar has conducted a wide spectrum of music including symphonic and chamber orchestra concerts, complete dramatic opera and ballet productions, choral programs, and a wide variety of "pops" concerts. Concert reviews of his performances reflect a solid reputation among critics and audiences alike. His work has been presented on broadcasts of National Public Radio's "Performance Today". Additionally, he has been an active Clinician/Consultant for youth orchestras and ensembles in their preparation for competitions.

William Buhidar's conducting appearances have included the following orchestras and music organizations: OPUS Chamber Orchestra (Founder/Music Director); The Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra; The North Arkansas Symphony Orchestra; The Lima Symphony (Ohio); The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra; The New Palais Royale Orchestra; The Mozart Madness Players; The Corpus Christi Chamber Orchestra; The U.S.S Lexington Annual 4th of July Flight Deck Concerts (Music Director); The American Center for Puccini Studies; The Society of Classical Arts in West Palm Beach; The Corpus Christi Concert Ballet Orchestra; The South Texas Chamber Orchestra; and The RGV International Music Festival.

William Buhidar studied conducting with Cornelius Eberhardt†, former Professor and Past-President of the Munich Hochschule für Musik, and Neil Varon, Professor of Conducting at the Eastman School of Music. Through competitive audition, he was a participant in the Eastman School of Music Summer Conducting Institute, which led to a guest conducting appearance with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. William began his career as a violinist, and as a conducting student earned a Master of Music Degree in Performance from The University of Texas-Pan American. He is a member of the prestigious international honor organizations Phi Kappa Phi and The Golden Key Society.

A seasoned music educator, William Buhidar is an Assistant Professor of Music at South Texas College where he has served as Assistant Dean for Fine and Performing Arts and Chair of the Music Department. In his work with young musicians, he has been a UIL Regional Orchestra guest conductor having guest conducted the TMEA Region 14 and 28 All-Region Orchestras and the Texas Music Teachers Association Annual Concerto Concert featuring young solo artists. William has also presented symphonic music for younger audiences in unique music/drama settings that have been funded by The Texas Commission on the Arts and The Coastal Bend Foundation.

Building concert audiences is an area William Buhidar considers of critical importance. He enjoys exploring innovative ways to present symphonic music that attracts new audiences and engages traditional tastes. Examples include  “ERTÉ and His Music”, a concert funded by The Meadows Foundation highlighting music from operatic productions such as La Bohème and Faust which had been costumed by the artist ERTÉ; "Eine Kleine Mozart”, a concert highlighting repertoire composed during Amadeus' childhood that included a concert version of Bastien und Bastienne and his Piano Concerto No. 1; a “Bach-A-Nova” concert featuring a Bach Brandenburg Concerto and the Baroque-flavored Jazz Suite for Orchestra by Claude Bolling; and “Carmen - A Pocket Opera”, a uniquely designed trimmed concert version for opera novices of Bizet's famous opera.
